At $1.4 billion, Westlink M7 is the largest completed Public Private Partnership project in Australia. Allowing motorists to bypass 48 sets of traffic lights, the Westlink M7 has been welcomed by commuters.

Westlink Motorway Limited, the consortium selected to design, construct, operate and maintain the Westlink M7 motorway, comprises Macquarie Infrastructure Group, Transurban and Leighton Holdings and Leighton Contractors.

Opened in 2005, Westlink M7 completes the Sydney orbital road network providing an uninterrupted journey between the M2, M4 and M5 motorways. Featuring 17 interchanges, the 40 kilometre, fully electronic toll road provides access to residential communities and industrial areas.

An off-road cycleway 40 kilometres in length runs adjacent to the motorway. With separate bridges and over 60 connections to local roads, pedestrians and cyclists have easy access to other parts of the Western Sydney cycleway network.
